2017年1月的任天堂Nintendo Switch发布会上，关于游戏阵容上，最让人惊喜的两大消息无疑是塞尔达传说荒野之息将与NS主机同期发布，以及全新超级马里奥游戏的情报公开。

谁也没想到，人类城市的下水道中会蹦出来一个马里奥。“Mario in Real World?”弄得很多人以为出GTA版马里奥游戏了！

继96年的马里奥64（我记得是96年的N64主机上的游戏），02年NGC平台的马里奥阳光（太难玩了这款游戏）之后的第三款沙盒类马里奥游戏，一经发布瞬间引爆游戏圈，无数任豚翘首以盼，苦等10月27日游戏发售的日子。作为一个早已把任天堂NGC之后所有的马里奥系列游戏全部通关了的忠实粉丝，我还记得那天单位要我加班，“加个屁！我要回去玩马里奥！”
跑路回家，开始这一次全新的马里奥旅程。

我们的主题曲Jump Up,Super Star!，Jump从来都是马里奥游戏的主题——横版跳跃游戏的先驱者，在这一作中，暗含太多这三十多年里马里奥发展的轨迹，连马里奥初次登场作品“大金刚”中的马里奥女友“宝琳”亦在本作中出现。只是这一次，他们忘了三十多年前的对方是自己伴侣的故事。
这里的宝琳，仅仅是个唱歌的人类城市市长。原本很期待二人的见面能有一些隐喻过去的对话，最终我很失望，看来二人是真的记不起来了。

这首Jump Up,Super Star! ，在全游戏中出现两次，其一是在月球最背面，也就是全游戏最难关卡（10分钟的遥远艰难的路程，不能超过三次失误，否则直接重来。太难了差点把手柄砸了）的初始路程为玩家加油打气。

其二是都市国的狂欢盛典，将整个游戏推向最高潮，不得不让人慨叹，“这才是游戏的魅力”。

2017年的TGA，即游戏界的奥斯卡奖，即将选出全年最佳游戏的时候，舞台响起这首歌，台下一大帮观众带起了马里奥奥德赛标志性的红帽子，那股狂热真是让人激动万分。虽然最终被“绿帽子”塞尔达传说荒野之息摘得桂冠没办法，那一年的塞尔达就是“永远的神”。
